Tenant Files Restraining Order to STOP Eviction?! 🏚⚖️ Still Not Paying Rent…

Today I found myself in an unexpected court hearing—why? Because a tenant who hasn't paid rent filed a restraining order to stop a legally approved Writ of Possession. Yes, they're still living in the home rent-free, and now the court is delaying justice, putting the actual homeowner in financial distress.
This is beyond the legal appeal window, yet the system is allowing continued delays. This means my client is now stuck paying two mortgages—one for their current home and one for this rental property—without rent income to support it.
As a Property Manager, it's frustrating to see how easily bad-faith tenants can manipulate the system, while responsible landlords and homeowners suffer the consequences.
📣 Is this justice? Is this fair?
