Could It Be?

Jesus on His cross cried out: “It Is Finished” and He died. No further atonement was needed, Jesus was the final sacrifice. Our Redeemer redeemed sin with Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. Could It Be?

Without this hope of Jesus, our world would be completely dark. But because He descended into hell and defeated death on this Holy Saturday, the light of God was Proven that it could not be extinguished, not even in the deepest, darkest hell, the light of God shines gloriously and defeats death. Could It Be? YES! He Rose! He was not in the tomb! YES! It could be finished!

All things are as they should be and Jesus rested. But humanity was not resting at all, they were hiding, afraid, mourning, hopeless, reminiscing, sad, anxious, disillusioned, condemned, questioning, feeling guilty, and in great soul pain. The enemies of Jesus where still scheming to prevent (Matthew 27:62-66) So whatever side you were on, the human condition was “fleshing out”! Did they believe what was promised would happen? They were taking into account all that Jesus had said. Could it be that when He said: If you destroy this temple, in three days, I will rebuild it.” (John 2:19) Could it be that Jesus would rise from the dead?
We absolutely know what it is like to not be able to wrap our mind around what is going on. Common Sense seems to be dead at times. Assumptions, speculations, deception just rolls into our situations and they seem unfixable! Could It Be?

Have you been in a situation that crushed your soul. I think I can relate to the Disciples on Holy Saturday. Jesus was dead. The waves of grief continued to roll in and emotionally crashing on our soul. BUT Jesus, we acknowledge His Presence, we know He is with us. We cry out of our pain, out of our hurt and He is right there to help us navigate the waves of deception with discernment like no other. Jesus points us to truth, to the way out emotionally to a path of trust, trusting Him in all of our ways. Could It Be?

God is with us even as the waves of deception get stronger and you are in the worst situation that you can imagine. God gives us confidence to face the waves of the enemy that crash on our soul, the waves of hurt, pain, deception, fear, anxiety, hopelessness. GOD KNOWS. The disciples knew all of this as they hid away on Holy Saturday after Jesus died and their hope died with Him. Could It Be?

Has a situation made you hopeless? Are you hiding away in anguishing soul pain, grief, anger, anxiety, fear, and feeling the doubt that rips at your faith?
Don’t lean into your own understanding, don’t let the loss of common sense change your trust into doubt. God is with us. He is our strength, our Dunamis power to face the waves that the enemy crashes into our soul. Could It BE? YES! YES! YES! He’s not here! He Has Risen!

With Doubt Seizing Our Soul, We Choose To Trust God, acknowledge He is with us. The in this life season, the waves may get stronger, and nothing may change, but we change. God strengthens us, God changes us, God transforms us! God will heal our soul, touching us in that way that no one else can and gives us the confidence and strength to face the waves of deception, hurt, fear, anxiety, and navigate them with the power of God in us. God will not leave us alone to fight our way to stand up through the waves of this life season, He will be with us, El Sali, our strength will shore us up. He will stand in front of us, shielding us from the enemy of our soul and He will give us rest in our soul. It is Saturday, but Sunday is coming. We Trust And Hope In The Dark!
