Phones are exposed to threats from 3-Letter Agencies, Hackers, Carriers, and Big Tech. But if you understand how each threat connects to the device, then you can control some of these in short term scenarios. Obviously when you have to use the phone normally you have to enable certain features but you have more flexibility than you think. To some of you, it's just a normal time and nothing has changed. But actually in 2025, a lot has changed and one of the key ones is that End-to-End (E2E) encryption used in apps like Signal, Session, Whatsapp, Telegram and so are no longer secure. Mark Zuckerberg said himself that the CIA can break E2E encryption but most people misunderstood what this means. They thought it meant hacking tools. The threats have changed and we have to change as well. Now the privacy risk is from AI enabled device scanning (Client Side Scanning). We know today that using Linux and Open Sourced Operating systems like De-Googled OS's will protect us from this. However, we cannot transition immediately. While there's time, we can migrate to the correct and safe platforms. In the meantime we need to prepare for this transition by being able to shift away from Windows, and MacOS. The solution is Dual Boot. And wean our private activities away from Windows keylogging and screenshots and such madness. On MacOS/Apple Silicon, you can dual boot with Asahi Linux. EXTRA TIPS ON LINUX: 1. The best way to handle NTFS in dual boot is to mount the NTFS drive to your Documents folder. This way it is easily accessible. For example, make Windows folder in it. Then... 2. Auto mount the NTFS by making an entry in /etc/fstab as shown in this example below UUID="partitionid" /home/"user"/Documents/Windows ntfs rw,auto,user,exec,nls=utf8,uid=1000,gid=1000,dmask=0077,fmask=0177 0 0 3. Someone was suggesting that the way to deal with Google and its data collection is by partitioning your Google footprint with different Google ID's (different gmail accounts). But if you don't understand the technical details here, this will fail. You need to understand how they can connect different accounts. And so the multiple accounts will be known to be yours and you've gained nothing (if you make the wrong move). I don't give this is as advice because it requires more advanced skills. But these are skills we can teach. It's a difficult problem.
