SCRIPTURE READING FOR TODAY
Gen 31:43-46

Jacob’s Treaty with Laban 43 Then Laban replied to Jacob, “These women are my daughters, these children are my grandchildren, and these flocks are my flocks—in fact, everything you see is mine. But what can I do now about my daughters and their children?
44 So come, let’s make a covenant, you and I, and it will be a witness to our commitment.”
45 So Jacob took a stone and set it up as a monument.
46 Then he told his family members, “Gather some stones.” So they gathered stones and piled them in a heap. Then Jacob and Laban sat down beside the pile of stones to eat a covenant meal.

The Word of God To Meditate On Today
Gen 31:43-46 - The Covenant Brought Jacob To Laban's House Empty, But Made Him Rich!

Truly speaking everything Jacob had at the time he was leaving Laban's House belonged to Laban. God's covenant does not leave a man the way it meets him. Because Jacob's ways pleased the Lord, the covenant made a way for him, converted some of Laban's wealth to him. See, a worldly man does not easily renounce his possessions, even if they have been transferred to another. The heart remains attached to it. Only the covenant could have done this conversion without any side effect. At the time of exit, when Laban would have hurt Jacob, the Covenant protected him. Laban made a covenant of protection with Jacob. Are you covenantly connected to God? See Job 22:23-25

Personal Supplication
Father, I return to You, repent from following my own ideas, and submit to You completely. Let Your covenant provide, protect and defend me in Jesus' name! Job 22:23-25

23 If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, Thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.
24 Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, And the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.
25 Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, And thou shalt have plenty of silver.

Weekly Protection Covenant Declaration
Because I dwell in the secret place of the most High, I Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: My God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver me from the snare of the fowler, And from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover me with his feathers, And under his wings shalt I trust: His truth shall be my shield and buckler. I shall not be afraid for the terror by night; Nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; Nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, And ten thousand at thy right hand; But it shall not come nigh thee throughout this week in Jesus' name!

Only with my eyes shalt I behold And see the wicked receive their rewards. Because I have made the LORD, my refuge, Even the most High, my habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, Neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For God shall give his angels charge over thee, To keep thee in all my ways. They shall bear me up in their hands, Lest I dash thy foot against a stone. I shall tread upon the lion and adder: The young lion and the dragon shalt I trample under feet. Because I have set my love upon God, therefore will He deliver me: He will set him on high, because I have known His name. I shall call upon Him, and He will answer me: He will be with me in trouble; He will deliver me, and honour me. With long life will God satisfy me, And shew me His salvation. So shall it be for me and my household throughout this week in Jesus' name!
