"Stray Cat Strut," written by Brian Setzer and produced by Dave Edmonds, was Stray Cats' second top 10 hit and highest charting song rising to the no. 3 position in 1982 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart (top40weekly, 2025; Whitburn, 2013). The band Setzer disbanding the band in 1984 (top40weekly, 2025), although they did reunite a number of times later (wikipedia, 2025). The Stray Cats brought Rockabilly back to the charts during the early '80s (straycats, 2025) with four top 40 hits before their breakup (Whitburn, 2013)..
