This secret order, based on the UK’s 2016 Investigatory Powers Act, demands blanket access to end-to-end encrypted files from all iCloud users, not just British ones. From 2020 right up until now in some provinces, Canadians across our country have been subjected to gross violations of our Charter rights, under the justification of reducing the effect of a supposed pandemic. Bill C-293, which will bring in the Pandemic Prevention and Preparedness Act, has already passed the House and its first reading before the Senate. On Monday, September 16th, just over a week from now, the Senate will reconvene and if we do not object, loudly and in great numbers, this draconian legislation will likely pass before the end of this year. The Act will not only subject us to further lockdowns and violations of our rights to freedom of movement, but censorship, surveillance and possibly even forced injections. Remember when police in the UK used to do mad stuff like catching criminals and solving crimes? Those were the days. Never let it be said that the Met Police miss the chance to bully an easy target, so instead of investigating the alleged assault, the three officers present instead decided to take the woman to task for calling her attacker a ‘filthy migrant.’ ‘We have a duty to challenge that language,’ says one officer. ‘You’re saying the two things together [‘filthy’ and ‘migrant’], and that’s offensive, isn’t it?’ says another. It’s unclear whether the original attacker was ever apprehended, or whether the woman who made the complaint was thrown in jail for wrongthink, but at least we can all rest safe in the knowledge that the attacker won’t have his feelings hurt.

Trudeau and his justice minister claim the bill will comply with the Charter, but their record on civil liberties and free speech should concern all Canadians. The Liberals' long-promised ban on "online harms" is expected in the coming weeks. Among other things, the bill will take aim at so-called "hate speech," which past attempts at legislating suggest the Liberals will define at a lower threshold than what exists in criminal law at present. The Trudeau government has unveiled new legislation to crack down on so-called “hate speech.” Of course the government isn’t specifying what “hate speech” is but it’s clear what Justin Trudeau’s intentions are – he’s cracking down speech he hates. This is what leftist authoritarianism looks like. Bill C-63, which is being presented by the government under the guise of “protecting children,” enables people to file complaints against others for posting “hate speech” and empowers the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal to order payments of up to $70,000. Instead of sounding the alarm on Trudeau’s latest attack on free speech, unsurprisingly, the legacy media is celebrating this power grab. True North’s Candice Malcolm says Trudeau is pretending C-63 is about protecting your safety and children’s safety, but in reality Trudeau wants to control the internet, just like how he controls the media.
