Four mayors from Sanctuary cities across the country will have to publicly testify in front of the House Oversight Committee about their sanctuary policies and their vows to fight against President Donald Trump and his mass deportation operation.
The Chairman of the Committee James Comer said that
"Sanctuary mayors owe the American people an explanation for city policies that jeopardize public safety and violate federal immigration law by releasing dangerous criminal illegal aliens back onto the streets."
Of those who will be testifying – the embattled mayor of Chicago Brandon Johnson – who has spent more than $400 Million dollars over the last two years on illegal migrants.
Denver Mayor Mike Johnston who previously said he would use the local police to stop federal authorities from carrying out mass deportations in Colorado – even though entire apartment complexes were taken over by the Violent Venezuelan Gang Tren de Aragua.
Boston Mayor Michelle Wu who said she will protect the city's residents from deportation, even though illegal migrant sex assaults and rapes have spiked in the city. Officials recently arresting 26 illegal migrants in the Boston area for sex crimes against children.
And New York City Mayor Eric Adams who has changed his stance but still has the sanctuary status in the Big Apple.
The city is expected to spend $12 Billion in taxpayer dollars on illegal migrants through 2025.
