On a micro level ofc you’re not gonna charge interest. But if you’re a bank loaning a construction company $400,000 to buy new equipment of course there’s going to be some kind of interest, otherwise why would they lend the money? That’s how big things that nobody would be able to afford to build on their own get built. Same thing with investing, why would I give you money if I’m not expecting to get a greater value in the long run? Our banking system is corrupt and broken but the idea of credit and finance as a business does have a place in a functioning society.
