Week 1 Readings of our 2025 Chronological Bible-in-a-Year Reading Challenge include Genesis 1—11 and Job 1—20.

In this tutorial, Chad explains how the Book of Genesis is 'an Ancient Book of Ancient History Revealing Prophetic Patterns and Themes'. From a chronological perspective, these opening chapters demonstrate the link between Adam and Abram, in what the apostle Peter would later refer to as the 'Ancient World' (2 Pet. 2:5): or, as Chad likes to call it, the Age of the Ancients.

We also hit into the Book of Job, a great work of Hebrew Poetry, whose story is set within a similar period of time, circa 2100BC.
