A Calvinist was recently sharing his version of the "gospel" with Joe Rogan. That's a perfectly accurate representation of the Calvinist "gospel". It's only good news for those who are "elected", by Calvinism's gnostic definition of the term.

The problem with the term "Free Grace" is that is describes a number of different positions and is essentially a "false dichotomy" argument that is trying to distinguish itself from "Lordship Salvation" which is also a broad umbrella term that is not a unified position. Jesus is the English name for Ιησους which comes from the Hebrew word Yeshua (ישׁוּעה) which means "salvation" and "YHWH (Jehovah) saves". There are some people in the OT called "Yeshua", but the word is usually translated "salvation". We're going to do a study of those instances.

God requires us to love Him with all our heart and mind and soul and strength. That is His standard. If you are not doing that, you are worshipping the devil because there are only two kingdoms. Anything not done in worship, love, service and trust of God, serves the kingdom of darkness and therefore the devil. However, we cannot do that perfectly, so God accepts imperfect, incomplete faith Jesus Christ as being sufficient for Him to gift us with the imputed righteousness of Christ which covers our sins. He pastes verses with zero exegesis and just asserts his interpretations, or just implies it and you have to guess what he thinks the verse is saying. Are Calvinists right that regeneration precedes faith? Does the Gospel of John teach irresistible grace? Does God only draw the elect? Does the Gospel of John teach Calvinism or Provisionism or some other doctrine?

We continue examining the PROVIDE acronym of Provisionism by looking at the "E" which stands for "Eternal security of believers". If you have trusted Jesus Christ for your salvation, He will keep you forever. In Provisionism, the P.R.O.V.I.D.E stands for P = People sin: Which separated all from fellowship with God. V = Vicarious atonement: The divine provision is of sufficient value for the sins of the whole world and provides a way for anyone to be saved by Christ’s blood. Charles Haddon Spurgeon "Compel them to come in" from https://www.spurgeon.org/resource-library/sermons/compel-them-to-come-in/#flipbook/ This sermon is not at all Calvinistic and Spurgeon was widely attacked for preaching such an "Arminian" sermon. We could also call it Provisionist (although that term was not known then). This is just good, sound Bible preaching without all the Calvinistic philosophising and explaining away scripture. Spurgeon later became far more Calvinistic, persuaded, no doubt, by the Calvinist "intellectuals" of his day instead of steadfastly holding to scripture.

The word gospel means good news. What is the good news? When God made this world it was perfect, but He gave humans a choice. They chose to rebel and bring sin into His world. And every human has this choice, and we all sin. So God sent Jesus to die in our place and pay our punishment. And He offers eternal life and forgiveness of sins as a gift, if we will just turn from our sin to trust Him. Have you trusted Him? Are you trusting Him?
