This Saturday is Election Day. Matt and I have already voted early. Saturday night we find out who takes government in Australia.

Federal Election in two weeks or something. I voted today. Cowboys play the Titans this weekend in the NRL. And there are some other games, I imagine.

Game One 2024 will be on 5 June. What do we think of the team? And we'll discuss the Cowboys too.

I will be joined by Matt and we will give our thoughts on the first half of Game 1, State of Origin.

We will also look at the Final Eight. Only four more weekends of the regular season! And the inconsistent North Queensland Cowboys. What is the problem? How is it fixed? Matt's team for next year (and this year). Who should be dropped? How far?

Matt and I will look at the Cowboys again and how Jake Clifford went and talk more about into the future, eg Jake being re-signed and Semi Valamei. And we can also talk about the topic of Christians in sport (and in life) and where the line is drawn about what to accept and how to survive in a world hostile toChristianity.

Cowboys could finish 5th, 6th or 7th. Let's run our eye over the team and other events, and all the games this weekend.

Cowboys made it to fifth spot on the ladder. They play the Newcastle Knights this weekend. And Bulldogs play Manly. The losers of both games are gone. Storm play Sharks and Penrith play Roosters. The winners have a week of rest and the losers play the winners from the other games. We will continue to look at how the Cowboys' year went and what we think will happen in the finals and where to for next year.

Matt and I review week one of the finals where Cowboys beat Knight, Sea Eagles beat Bulldogs, Storm beat Sharks and Panthers beat Roosters. So this weekend, Cowboys face Sharks in Sydney and Sea Eagles face Roosters. If we beat the Sharks, we face Panthers. Then the week after is the Grand Final.

We discuss the Cowboys last game and season and next year. And the Grand Final coming up and lots of related topics. Politics sticks it's nose in the door and we will have a show on that shortly. Sorry for the technical issues.

The NRL season is finished for 2024 and we are headed to some international games. And the Cricket season has begun.

We are both Queenslanders (a state of Australia, although Matt lives in NSW, New South Wales). We have a passionate interest in politics and we both consider ourselves conservatives. Queensland recently had State Election and we will discuss that and broader Australian politics as well as discussing US politics

Matt and I are Christians, fans of the NQ Cowboys (Rugby League, Australia), he loves cricket and I'm learning to get back into it again and conservatives (I love Trump and I don't know exactly what Matt thinks - more cautiously supportive, I think).

Matt and I are both from North Queensland (originally), both conservative Christians and conservative politically. We have a number of topics we might discuss. I think the number one topic that Matt wants to discuss is that we both grew up in Independent Baptist circles.

Matt would like to discuss Trump upending the traditional US way of doing things. And we'll talk about Jesus doing similar things in terms of upending the traditional order. We'll discuss Paula White, Trump's "Pastor"! And maybe a quick mention of the NQ Cowboys.

Matt and I are both passionate lovers of Rugby League, especially the North Qld Cowboys and Qld Maroons. We also are passionate conservatives and/or libertarians in our politics. And committed Biblical (fundamentalist, evangelical) Christians. Australia has a Federal Election coming up. So we'll be looking at that and we haven't streamed about the Cowboys for a while. And we'll see what else happens.

We'll be focusing on the Cowboys who just had their second win (after three losses to start the season) Rugby League in Australia.

We'll discuss Round 6 (especially the third Cowboys' win for the season). We'll also discuss the refereeing. And look ahead to who might be in the finals (which is a long way away, but let's speculate a little).
