AR-0124: The sixth film entry in the Terminator franchise, this 2019 box office bomb was an insidious attempt to steer the series into a dangerous new direction, having John Connor killed off... That might sound like a spoiler, but since it happens right at the start of the movie, it doesn't count as a spoiler... And the new leader of the Resistance being a young female Mexican [to check the necessary DEI boxes] who eventually becomes an illegal immigrant into the USA to escape a new type of Terminator - a Rev-9 model infiltrator built by "Legion", an alternate SkyNet. Sent back to protect her is a female Resistance soldier converted into a cyborg so she can go toe-to-toe with the Rev-9, and also Sarah Connor, who has been hunting Terminators to avenge John's death. They team up with the T-800 who killed John, now living with a human family to atone for his actions to defeat the Rev-9...

This sorry movie took some choices that were just absolutely terrible [although the action scenes aren't too shabby], while the CGI VFX used for the Rev-9's morphing effects are worse than some of the better CGI used in lower-budgeted movies.

In short, this movie - while not technically atrocious - is still a disgrace.

My Grade: D [Bad]
