He said he 'intends' to resign. He will still be in power until at least end of March 2025. He will ask the Gov Gen to dissolve Parliament, so that they can't vote to throw him out. He can do a lot more damage until he is finally gone. This is not over.

Trudeau has not resigned. He now has the chance to finish packing the senate with appointing 8 lieberals to the senate. No parliament needed.

Could we please stop the stupid (insulting) talk of Canada becoming a new "state"? Yes, do lay out more plausible exploration of Canada freely joining the United States of America - finally. Perhaps with the territories as U.S. states, with 2 senators each and representation in the House according to population, same as USA. Offer them a desirable "deal". And, again, please, enough already with the stupid talk of BUYING Greenland! We are not Chins. We don't BUY "friends". Sounds like a "deal" to me.

I think a big piece of why Trudeau fell is the affordability crisis. People are making this more complicated than it is.
