Combination of sugar [especially fructose], carbs, PUFAs
combine together to make a toxic substance...
We got to top of food chain by eating one way for millions of years
-now, for a few decades eating a fad diet, we are sicker & fatter
Including:
-childrens' cancer up 3% a year
-arthritis, joint disease, gout 2X
-while eating less red meat & alcohol
-autoimmune disease, mental health
-every modern disease is increasing

Modern medicine's response?
-highly reactive, throwing pills at the problems
-costs are sky high, hospitals are overcrowded
"Australia will spend the Entire Health Budget just on well diabetic
care in next 20 years"

Root cause of all modern disease is Inflammation...
to start: fructose, carbs, PUFAs are at heart of problem
but, that is not all
-if susceptible organ due to being chronically inflamed, then
-other things come into play:
-stress cortisol; chemicals
-bowel organisms; exercise
-latitude/longitude; sleep
-vitamin D; artificial lights

Engine of cell is mitochondria...is a HYBRID engine:
-most people running only on glucose
-not using their ketone engine
Both are converted in mitochondria into acetyl CoA; then
into energy by Krebs cycle
mitochondria turns glucose into ATP
turns ketones into ATP
3 primary colors combine to make
every color
3 primary macro nutrients combine
to make every food we eat

All foods are converted into energy in mitochondria...
-carbs can be considered like kindling
-quick burning, fire is up & down, more needed often
-protein like branches
-fats like slow-burning logs
Carbs are mostly glucose or fructose
-all converted to glucose
-quickly metabolized
-distributed via insulin stimulation
-only 4% in blood at any time
-if more than 4%, distributed as fat

one slice of bread has 5 teaspoons of glucose...
-one goes into bloodstream, rest into body fat
one bowl of pasta: 20 teaspoons of glucose
one bowl of rick: same
one potatoe: 6

Sugar, 50% fructose, described finally in 2010...
-most dietary guidelines are Out Of Date
-fructose found in sugar, honey, fruit, HFCS
What about fruit?
-today: Less Fiber & More Sugar & chemicals
