Nothing wins the attention over general public like a good old dance performance. Without them, weddings, birthday parties and daily routines would be way more boring. Over the years there have been quite a number of interesting and bold dancers who took the courage to break loose in public, putting their happy feet into action, much to onlookers’ entertainment. However, there is one main rule to a successful dance: keep smiling and dance like nobody’s watching. When conflict arises, try to keep a positive attitude and remember that confidence can really make a difference!

This is the heartwarming moment when one accidental 9-1-1 call ends in a dance challenge. Footage shows LASD Patrol Deputy Vic Ekanem being challenged to a dance-off by a young and talented kid to which he most certainly passed with flying colors. Watch as Deputy Vic Ekanem from Palmdale Sheriff's Station moves his happy feet during a dance-off challenge, much to onlookers’ surprise. Impressively, he is in the lead until filmmaker demands them to started flossing. It is then, that the kid takes over the lead, but the Deputy doesn’t give up that easily. How cool is this dance-off! Amazing! This is definitely something you don’t see everyday!

Not making any excuses for the Deputy, but reportedly it was very hot that day and that flashlight kinda threw off his balance. Nonetheless, this cheeky dance-off was definitely a great way to start the week!

Everything started when someone dialed 9-1-1 and deputies responded to a home. However, when these partners from LASD’s S.H.A.R.E Program noticed the kids were shy about deputies responding to their home, they wanted to make sure everything was fine. That is when they were challenged to a dance-off and it resulted in this curious video. How cool is that?

In order to stop hate and intolerance among youth, LASD'S S.H.A.R.E Program (Stop Hate and Respect Everyone) was launched in 2008 and the focus was put on the young population in grade schools and high schools. We truly support this initiative and consider that it is very important to have an outreach center to deal with young people’s problems.

Maybe the Deputy dancing in this video is no professional dancer, but he absolutely wins the moment with his cheeky moves and positive attitude. The best thing about his dance is that he does it absolutely naturally, without any hesitation or self-awareness. There is nothing better than putting your happy feet into action after a long day’s work and just releasing all that stress into your own instantaneous choreography. This is a tell-tale sign of a true dance enthusiast!

Our lesson for today is that if doing your everyday job gets strenuous, try a little dance to shake it off. Just as this dancing Deputy did. You don’t need to be a dance expert or have a stunning choreography to prove you can get down and shake what your mama gave you. Awesome!

If you think about it, we don’t really need a reason to dance. That is what we learned from these cheeky officers who knew exactly how to break the ice with teenages once a false 911 call was dialed. They took the matter very professionally, and turned it into a total dance challenge. Watching how Patrol Deputy Vic Ekanem and his partner loosened up the tense situation, we are grateful that there are still cheerful men out there to put a smile on people’s faces when they need it the most. Great joy guys!
