Coworking

The ability to be productive and manage time well is a critical skill in our profession. I've long been an advocate for the Pomodoro Method (TM) but there's an interesting twist on it - "coworking" - and it was an item that the NVRA education committee subgroup really wanted to implement. The first session was this past weekend and it was a success, I think.

You're logging in somewhere - Zoom, Google Meets, FB Live, whatever - and you leave your camera on while you work. It could be proofing, scoping, admin, practice - whatever you need to get done - and it's managed much like a pomodoro-style session.

I highly recommend this type of focused work if you tend to get sucked down the internet rabbit hole when all you wanted to do was to research one little spelling...
