WATCH: Poilievre warns Trump will poach Canadian jobs out from under Trudeau's nose

Tory leader Pierre Poilievre was not letting Prime Minister Justin Trudeau get away with vacuous platitudes during Question Period Tuesday.

The prime minister attempted to elevate his government by talking about all the Liberals are doing to fix Canada's problems — including yet another increase on the carbon tax in April 2025.

"He created all those problems," replied Poilievre.

"You can just picture President Trump calling our businesses, encouraging them to leave Canada and set up south of the border where there is no carbon tax."

Trudeau responded by parroting the false claim, as debunked by the Parliamentary Budget Officer (PBO), that the carbon tax "put more money in the pockets of Canadians."
