Why can’t Trump supporters admit this?

If Trump supporters are fueled by racism, then why aren’t they “out of the closet” as racists? Why don’t they own it, proclaim it, after 9 years? Why do they continually deny accusations of racism?

If over half the American electorate are truly white supremacists who think white people are better, wouldn’t they just say it as this point? Wouldn’t they be proud of it?

If white supremacy isn’t bad or abhorrent to white supremacists, then wouldn’t they be proud of it?
