Ravi shares a special message entitled "Santa Claus and God.
As we approach the Christmas season, songs about Santa Claus are heard almost everywhere. This mythical figure is said to live at the North Pole and to work with elves to secretly deliver gifts to children all over the world on Christmas Eve as he rides around the world in his magical sleigh.

The popular perception of Santa Claus stems from folklore traditions surrounding the 4th-century Christian bishop Saint Nicholas, the patron saint of children. Saint Nicholas became famous for his alleged generosity and secret gift-giving. Nicholas was a real person, and his legacy continues to this day.

It is easy to have a misconception of God as someone who lives in a distant land and only appears to placate us with gifts we want. This could not be further from the truth. God does answer prayers, but it is not always a resounding "yes". We also want to look at Bible examples of times when God's answer to prayer was a resounding "no."

Now, why would a loving God refuse His children's requests? Should He not be like Santa Claus? What is the difference between God and Santa Claus? Come and learn more about our loving God and why sometimes "no" is just as good an answer to some of our prayers.
