presents episode 2292 | DR GARY FETTKE

I began encouraging patients to stop eating sugar...
-evolved into now: eat low carb and healthy fat
-and if desired: go carnivore
We know more now than at that time, 13 years ago
At home: get rid of all sugar...both fructose and glucose
-in Western diet, lots of glucose is converted
into fructose
-then: seed oils
In 2012 I proclaimed the trifecta:
Do Not Eat Fructose, Carbs, Seed Oils
wife: 'take away the bacon...you are out!'

In schools, biochem, not much about fructose metabolism
and very little about the role of insulin [except Ben Bikman]
and its role in insulin resistance...
-started this approach with surgical team--everyone got
heathier!
Then: began with diabetes patients--
clinic full of those with foot problems that
no other surgeon wanted to see
This was the front lines of the tsunami of
modern disease--80% of world population
are on that pathway NOW
