It has been said that in gauging where we are on the end-times countdown clock that the nation of Israel is the hour hand, the city of Jerusalem is the minute hand, and the Temple Mount is the second hand. In the Biblical dispensational view of world history, the fact that God gathered Israel back as a nation in a single day, just as He foretold in Isaiah 66:8, is highly significant as the milestone for the end of world history as we know it.
