Summary:
Today, we will dive deeper into the sufferings of Christ that we endure. Being joint heirs with Christ is not conditional upon your daily suffering. We are joint heirs because we ARE participants in His sufferings judicially through the leadership of the Holy Spirit. However, our suffering has many aspects, not the least of which involves a crown and reigning with Christ. As we shall see, the whole creation is involved in the suffering and oppression of the devil, but soon, we all shall be delivered.

Takeaway:
Those believers who seek to avoid suffering don't realize they already are participating in the sufferings of creation in bondage to sin. We are already oppressed and afflicted in bodies of sin. Some seek to avoid further suffering by being comfortable and hoping it will diminish the adversary's attacks. But if we deny Christ our suffering FOR Him, He will deny us the crown whereby we might reign with Him. No one ever lost salvation, but we can lose a crown. Why not, instead, see suffering as the gift it is? Why not serve so that we can say with Paul, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:"?
