These are two separate events: in the first, we are caught up to meet the Lord in the air; in the second, the Lord returns to the earth with us. He destroys the enemies of God in His wrath, and he sets up His throne in Jerusalem, where he restores His people, Israel to be the nation of priests they were meant to be. There are two folds in the church: one is Israel, the other is the gentile church. The Lord will rapture the Gentile church first, then gather His elect of Israel after He returns. He will separate nations in Matthew 25 to go into the kingdom, and Israel will be the royal priesthood to teach all nations for 1,000 years. Don’t be taken in wrath! Knowledge Increased - Cognitive Dissonance / Navigating Truths in the Last Days Summary: In the last days, there is prophesied to be an increase in knowledge. Today, we look at cognitive dissonance. Notes: Cognitive dissonance is the mental discomfort that results from holding two conflicting beliefs, values, or attitudes. People tend to seek consistency in their attitudes and perceptions, so this conflict causes unpleasant feelings of unease or discomfort. The inconsistency between what people believe and how they behave motivates them to engage in actions that will help minimize feelings of discomfort. People attempt to relieve this tension in different ways, such as by rejecting, explaining away, or avoiding new information.
