"Your Time Is Gonna Come," written by Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones, was released in 1969 on Led Zeppelin's debut self-titled LP and was the opening track on side B of the album (R S, allmusic, 2013; Whitburn, 2009). "The lyrics reflect Jimmy Page's views on women at the time. He thought they were deceitful and inferior to men" (songfacts, 2024). The album rose to no. 10 on the Billboard Top LPs chart and remained on the chart for 95 weeks (Whitburn, 2006) and was certified Diamond status in 2001 (sales over 10 million copies) by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) (RIAA, 2024).
