Driver Crashes Motorcycle, LIVINGSTON, October 19, 2024 - At approximately 12 noon on October 19, 2024, the driver of a silver Yamaha XVS motorcycle was west-bound on US-190 West when she came upon slowed down traffic and was traveling too fast. To avoid a collision, she turned her motorcycle sideways and laid it down, injuring herself in the process (She was wearing a helmet). Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Sergeant Rey Davalos with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, Onalaska Volunteer Fire Department, and Corporal Ramey Bass with the Texas Highway Patrol. The driver, Paige Grace, 29, of Onalaska, appeared to be physically in pain and had some road rash. Grace was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital. Traffic on the west-bound side of 190 was rerouted to the right shoulder during investigation and cleanup. A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered Grace's motorcycle and it will be stored in Livingston. No citations were issued.
