couple of weeks ago I received a letter that changed my life certainly 0:06 changed the course of my life in politics and I am going to read you that letter now and let you know that the 0:13 author of it is sitting across from me it reads my name is Philip turny I am 0:20 77 years old today on June 8th 1967 I was just 20 years old when the Gallant 0:26 crew of the USS Liberty was savagely attacked our American flag was proudly flying on 0:33 our ship in the Mediterranean Sea that day the designation agtr R5 was clearly 0:39 painted on the bow port and starboard sides USS Liberty was written in English on her Stern when we arrived on June 7th 0:47 we were overflown by Israeli reconnaissance aircraft and the same activity was repeated on the morning of 0:53 June 8th we were positively identified as American and friendly by the IDF we had requested a Destroyer Escort 1:00 long before we entered the Mediterranean but we were denied twice our captain assured us that we were clearly marked 1:07 as American and we therefore had nothing to fear we were alone 12 1/2 miles off 1:12 the coast of the Sai Peninsula always in international waters the Israeli reconnaissance aircraft were clearly 1:18 marked with the Star of David we therefore felt secure seeing a flying box car and other smaller Recon 1:24 propeller aircraft taking good care of us the attack began at 2:00 on a 1:30 beautiful bright sunny day by French made Mirage and Mye Jets painted black with no markings we had no clue who was 1:37 attacking us but assumed it was an Arab State during the first pass by the Jets took out all but one of our transmitting 1:44 antennas as well as every watertight door above the waterline the Air Attack lasted about 25 1:50 minutes killing and Ming our firefighters and any sailor who moved our radio man took one antenna offline 1:58 so it wasn't transmitting and wasn't hit he ran a long wire to it and the SOS 2:03 went out to the sixth Fleet it was even picked up as far away as Vietnam Rockstar Rockstar under attack 2:10 by an unknown jet aircraft help us help us Captain Tully Skipper of the USS 2:15 Saratoga sent Jets to come to our Aid before the Jets hit the Horizon they were recalled by Secretary of Defense 2:23 Robert mcamera captain enan of the USS America in Tully relaunched more aircraft to Aid 2:29 us they were also recalled This Time by Lynden Bane Johnson himself he said 2:35 quote I don't care about a few dead Sailors I will not embarrass my Ally Israel returned to base immediately end 2:43 quote how did he know who was attacking us if we did not we were set up by our own government 2:50 to let a foreign government have their way with us the IDF even dropped Napal on the bridge of our ship how low they 2:57 would go we would soon find out three motor torpedo boats headed our way and 3:02 one torpedo hit our starboard side we saw the star of David on the boats they were there to sink us the attack 3:09 continued for another hour and a half attacking jet aircraft destroyed all but 3:14 three of our life rafts which we had put overboard we were going to place our most seriously wounded in them so that 3:21 they would have a chance at life but the IDF would have none of that they shot two of them out of the water and took 3:26 one aboard their boats as a trophy of the kill they continued shooting and killing my mates they left and we 3:33 thought that it was over but it wasn't IDF helicopters were sent with troops armed and ready to board our ship and 3:38 finish us off then they just left I guess the gig was up when the mighty IDF 3:44 could not SN our defenseless ship when it was all done there were over 821 3:50 rocket and Cannon holes and over 5,000 armor-piercing bullets riddling the ship 3:56 nap bomb was burning us up and a 40x 40t torpedo hole was in her side causing the 4:01 ship to list badly to our starboard side we then waited 17 hours for help I guess 4:08 they hoped that we would sink that night help was only 40 minutes away from us but they left us out alone to die when 4:15 the USS America and the USS Davis arrived to help us they took our wounded to care for them their wounds were so 4:21 horrific words cannot explain Admiral kid boarded our ship a few days later and the cover up immediately 4:28 began we were ordered to never speak of the attack to anyone not even with one another penalties would be fines 4:35 imprisonment or worse and we all knew that worse meant death we have been treated like garbage for the last 57 4:41 years Congress has been bought and paid for with the exception over the years of a few Brave lawmakers their names are 4:48 Representatives Pete MOSI Paul Finley and Jim traffi as the corageous rep Thomas 4:54 Massie has noted all Republican members of Congress except for him have APAC handlers we can assume this is also true 5:01 of nearly all Democrats we are the most decorated ship in Naval History for a single engagement 5:07 I believe God saved us that day to allow us to communicate the truth of this attack to leaders like you we give all 5:14 power to Jesus Christ we are just his servants that horrible day and now the USS Liberty survivors are the biggest 5:20 whistleblowers this country has ever seen we have been smeared as anti-semitic Jew haters and Nazis our 5:27 only sin is that we survive we didn't kill beginning I guess when did you sign up to be in the United States military I joined the Navy at 17 years old at 6:15 uh San Diego California as far I went to boot camp I did two tours Vietnam uh before I 6:23 got aboard the USS Liberty and uh I did three tours with her including her last 6:31 so um that's that was my Naval career and I got out the Navy and then uh I 6:37 wasn't working at the time I thought I'd never go back in because why would I go back into a place where people are going 6:44 to try to kill me but I wasn't working had I had baby so I went back in and I 6:50 got aboard the USS madx d731 which was in the Talan Gulf which was a another 6:56 false flag wow so just as a question I mean most people I just being in the 7:03 Vietnam War I mean that was traumatizing enough obviously so you came back and 7:09 you decided that you were still going to serve the country uh when exactly did 7:14 you find out that you were going to be aboard the USS Liberty I found out when I got orders uh 7:20 to go to the U East Coast from the West coach I was on an ammunition ship then 7:26 USS uh monia ae22 I said well great I'm going away to the 7:33 east coast and I always wanted to go there anyway so I ended up on the liberty and when I got aboard the 7:39 Liberty they said it was a ship that mapped the bottom of the ocean and I 7:44 said wow how could that be when all the antennas are going straight up but I was a dumb kid I believed anything they told 7:50 me until a few months after that and I said no now this ain't right we're a spy ship okay so they initially said to you 7:57 they didn't even you're Serv on a ship and they don't even tell you the truth about why you're there so here you are 8:03 and they're like you're just here to map the bottom of the ocean yes that's what they told me okay but there were two 8:09 different Crews aboard that ship there were 200 spies CIA and sa spies and I 8:15 was in ship's company engineering and there were a hundred of us and with the other guys BOS and mat Cooks things like 8:23 that to run the ship our only job Candace was to make sure that the communication technicians got they had 8:29 to go mhm so they could they could do their deal okay and so when did you 8:34 notice or I guess when did it become apparent to you how long had you been aboard before you went I don't really 8:40 think that we're here to map the bottom of the ocean did they tell you hey I'm actually in the CIA or I'm in the NSA no 8:46 they they didn't they didn't uh talk to us and we didn't talk to them we weren't allowed to okay and so it's two two 8:52 different Crews and I I we know we figured it out pretty quick what was going on you know but um yeah it was it 9:00 was so secret I mean everything was secret very very secret and did you just 9:05 wondering how the setup is are you sharing a room with four five people how does that work on the ship well I was in 9:12 a a bunk room with um about uh 70 men 70 9:18 men in one room MH wow okay yeah that was engineering spaces and up forward 9:24 was the uh Bosa mates that's where they had their birthing the spikes the spies were in the back of the ship okay and so 9:31 what's a typical day like typical day was get up take a shower uh go to cow go to work stand 9:40 your watches and uh when we were out of seeve we' sunbathe a lot CU you know we 9:46 were all always off the coast of Africa and we were doing a reconnaissance there 9:52 up and down the coast four 5 miles an hour all the time and we just go up and 9:57 down and up and down we go to Ports different ports uh lwanda uh Angola um abigan you name it 10:05 all the ports on the west west coast so it's beautiful oh my was it ever Great 10:12 Taste pineapples everything it was great I love those people they were good to us and you're you're also thinking this is 10:18 very low risk you're going hey in terms of having an engagement I'm being sent out here it's a beautiful weather we're 10:24 sunbathing things are things are looking up yeah things are it was great I mean it was good Duty it was great duty but 10:32 on the last Cruise um we were headed to Africa again just 10:37 like we always did we stopped in Aben and uh this was in 10:45 June and we got emergency orders to leave we just gotten there we got emergency orders to leave get everybody 10:52 bu back board ship asap and we took off for points we had 10:58 no idea where going but the Six Day War was was going on okay see and we didn't 11:03 know it oh you didn't know it was going on no not not till a little bit later okay okay so at this point and just to 11:10 be clear how long had you been aboard the USS Liberty uh I did uh a little over two 11:16 and a half years on the Liberty oh I didn't realize it was that long yeah you had seasick not seasick at all then I 11:22 guess I got seasick every time I went out for about a week and then was gone 11:28 okay so now you you you get these emergency orders and you have no idea where you're 11:34 going uh there are they giving you any information or they're just saying it's an emergency everybody get back in 11:40 everybody get back in and we headed uh to road to Spain we we picked up uh 11:46 three Marines they were linguists and uh a civilian Alan blue he was a uh he he was 11:54 killed by the way uh he was another linguist but he worked directly for the 12:00 uh NSA okay okay so he gets on board you're in Spain now and then where do 12:05 you go we had into the Mediterranean uh you know into uh go through the rocket 12:11 de Walter and all that and all the ships were going this way 12:16 going the other way we were the only one going that way okay and still not nobody's informing you about the Six Day 12:22 War yeah we did find out that we were going into a war zone okay and what 12:27 information if any did they give you you none none you're just going into a war zone prepare for anything no we well we 12:36 were prepared uh because our our captain captain momal we we trained all the time for for 12:43 you know U different situations chemical drills fire all kinds of different 12:50 stuff and what's the general mood as you guys are heading towards there the conversation between you and your 12:56 Shipmates apprehension um in fact we had the star David we knew 13:02 what was going on then we had the people had star Davids all over the ship inside the ship hoping the Israel would win 13:10 because they were our best buddies in the whole wide world and um come to find out they 13:18 weren't so now it's June 7th is is that correct when you arrive into the saai 13:23 peninsula right we get well we were uh we got there on the 7th and the Israelis 13:29 started overflying us then taking pictures of us same thing 13:35 happened on the June the 8th a flying Box Car which is a two engine plane the 13:41 doors were open you can see the cameraman taking pictures of us so they're that close they're that low oh 13:46 yeah they were you could see the pilots we would wave at them they'd wave at us very friendly they would dip their wings 13:52 like everything's great and we felt good because our best friends were there and uh we had no worries I mean 14:00 none at all uh because they were going to protect us but it ended up they didn't so you 14:08 had described in your letter um saying that you you had the American flag 14:13 displayed can you describe for me first and foremost again reiterate where it was displayed and also how large the 14:20 flag was right it was on the mass and uh the flag was brand new it was a 5x8 14:28 uh flag very visible it was 12 knots going over across the deck you could see 14:34 the flag and in fact the Israelis identified us as American and friendly 14:39 how do you know that well we know it because of uh The Intercept we picked up 14:45 and they admitted it themselves uh we were on their war table they identified us as 14:52 American and when they changed the watch they forgot to tell the other Watch Commander that we were there they took 14:59 us off their war table so we no we no longer existed okay when you say take 15:04 you off the war war table I'm not familiar with that lingo okay so what 15:09 what does that mean they took us off the war well uh on on the war table they have like uh different ships or 15:16 different like literally set up the table that shows you right and what's going on and they they they took us off 15:23 so we were we were gone to them they they thought and but 15:29 they knew exactly what they were doing exactly what they were doing when they overflew us they took the pictures of 15:35 all the ship they know exactly what to hit and when to hit it and I might add 15:41 uh I I I believe and I think most my Shipmates believe that this attack was planned a year in advance a year in 15:48 advance yes what makes you say that well uh there was another spy ship in the 15:55 area USS or uh SS bdes it was a civilian man ship but it was 16:01 owned by the Navy it could have done the same thing that that we were doing but they they took him out of the 16:08 area sink in the USS Liberty is a hell of a lot sexier than sink in the 16:13 Valdes why is that well it's it's all American Sailors and Marines they wanted 16:20 this at the bottom and so they could blame it on the Arab states and bring us into World War II okay so let me ask you 16:28 a question question now it's the morning of the 8th and you you like you said on 16:35 the 7th they took pictures they positively identified you you were able to hear this over the radio um did they 16:44 still have at that moment the CIA agents on board yes yes the NSA agents were on 16:49 board so you still got the exact same amount of people that are on board here right okay so we're talking about a 16:54 pretty big sacrifice they were willing to make right total number of people 29 four souls 294 souls okay take me 17:02 through what happened on June 8th you get up we get up at 17:08 0600 and uh like I say we go to Chia and it takes you go to CH go to work we had 17:14 a damage control drill just before the attack say about 1:00 and I was in damage control I was 17:22 assistant onse leader in damage control and I was in an impregnated suit 17:28 which is a suit uh for washing down the ship of chemicals and it was very very hot that 17:35 day I mean 100 degrees on the deck easier or more and I was I thought it was going to pass out it was so hot 17:41 finally it was over with and I went and stoed my gear excuse me the um sound part phones 17:48 weren't working on the starberry gun mount the sound yeah there're they're 17:54 sound powerered phones you know from uh just like you know you could put on 18:00 headphones but they were sound powerered they weren't electrical and uh for some reason it 18:06 wasn't working and I went to the IC shop and I 18:12 got a A friend of mine David skak he was an icman and that was his job take care 18:17 of the IC uh system there for sound powerered phones and the IC System uh 18:24 intercoms on the ship and he came up and the Gunner's mate was up there also they were men in 18:31 the guns we're in a condition three just in case CU we could see the bombs going off and everything on on 18:38 the um sin so we thought you know this is really not a good place to 18:44 be and um just as soon as I left that gun mount 18:51 about 30 seconds after I left it I got back to my workstation and every all 18:57 hell broke loose the attack began what's the um first thing you 19:04 remember first thing I remember was um all hands get to your general quarter 19:09 station we're under attack we're under attack and I got to my GQ station which 19:15 is in uh the front part of the ship and those two men that I just left 19:22 there not a minute it took me to get back up there they were dead they're blown to bits 19:28 anything that moved aboard that ship they were shot at as in the letter they they took out 19:35 all all of our antennas within 3 seconds our four 50 caliber machine guns were 19:40 gone every water tip door was was hit and this went on for 25 minutes dropping 19:47 Napal on us uh I mean 25 minutes of that you can't 19:55 imagine every every second was like an hour there was nowhere to hide nowhere to run and you got you got people 20:02 severely blown up wounded bad badly and it continued and continued 20:09 continued for 25 30 minutes and then there there was a 20:15 low the to we saw the torpedo boats coming and we thought the star David you 20:21 know oh good because these were unmarked J aircraft we we didn't know who was attacking us we thought it was the Arabs 20:29 and then we saw the torpedo boats and they star David out oh man here's our best friends are going to come help us 20:35 no they come to saus when you talk about um them 20:41 dropping Napal and so they did this immediately what does that do for people that are not aware what what is the 20:49 purpose of that and how how does the body react to Napalm the chemical 20:54 agent it can burn youever severely and it all so um Can explode your 21:01 lungs very very hot I tried to go up and put it out with CO2 and I couldn't do it 21:08 they shot up all our fire hoses too we had no no way to fight fires with water 21:14 at all they shot them all up instantly in that first 25 minutes so they took 21:21 out uh everything the antennas instantly the fire hoses instantly so you couldn't 21:26 take out fire and during those 25 minutes what were you doing 21:31 specifically I was uh getting people off deck taking to a triage in the mess 21:38 deex uh the whole mes deex was full of people laying on the tables on the floor 21:44 it was a sea of broken and blooded men and it uh continued like that for I 21:51 could say for the entire attack you know and then the torpedo boats got up to us they did 21:58 you know they fired five Torpedoes at us so all the antennas are taken out 25 22:06 minutes has passed and there's they're obviously 22:11 assuming that you can't communicate your distress um you indicated in your letter 22:17 was it before the Torpedoes that fortunately somebody had taken one one 22:23 of those offline Terry halbardier is a third class Radian he 22:29 strung a long wire to the only anten he took that antenna off line because the 22:35 it wasn't working so they did they didn't hit it because they were using heat seeking missiles to hit all the 22:42 antennas because when they're tuning they they they threw off heat and they 22:48 they took them all out except that one and and he got thank God I mean there's 22:54 there's reasons for all this happened and uh he got hooked up Rockstar Rockstar and like I said went went to 23:01 Vietnam the six Fleet picked it up they automatically sent aicraft from the 23:07 seroga uh and Captain Tully and before they even hit the Horizon maer's bring 23:14 those aircraft back do not help Liberty turn around so our secretary of defense 23:21 I mean this attack could in theory since he was able to get that message out in 23:27 theory the attack could could have been over how long after it 23:32 started almost immediately in fact they they could have saved 25 Brave American 23:39 lives all spies that got killed when the torpedo hit but instead if they were to just let those planes come help us but 23:46 that wasn't the deal we were set up by our own government to die so Robert 23:51 mcamera who in interviews thereafter says he doesn't remember a single thing that happened that day that's what he 23:57 told the Chicago Tribune who doesn't remember anything that happened that day he recalls them back um and then what 24:07 happens then the American totally re reconfigured their aircraft and they sent aircraft again because they they 24:15 went to a different command they wanted their prerogative to go to a different 24:20 higher CU they're thinking what do you mean pull us back like our American and then uh lvj gets on the phone and his 24:28 exact words were is I don't give a GD if all those Sailors die I'm not going to 24:34 embarrass my Ally Israel like I said in the letter now how did he know that if we didn't know it who was attacking us 24:41 so they then have the president of the United States so these this guy's trying to do the right thing Captain Tully he's 24:46 like we're going to help them he gets called back by the Secretary of Defense he's thinking I'm going to go over his head because this is crazy and now the 24:53 president of the United States is saying I don't care I don't give a GD if they 25:00 die I am not going to embarrass our friend and Ally Israel so he knew he 25:05 knew and you know uh they destroyed Captain T's career too they fired him he got fired for doing that he was a World 25:13 War II uh fighter pilot very very highly 25:18 decorated good man in fact he come to one of our reunions and broke down like 25:23 a baby and cried said I I'm sorry I couldn't help you 25:30 it wouldn't let me and he he took that to his grave he just he was a Broken Man 25:36 W I can't even imagine what he went through yeah having to follow orders when the orders were so demonic yes 25:45 absolutely so he gets called back again this time it's from the president of the United States and now you are seeing 25:53 torpedo boats with the Star of David now now you guys know and you're thinking 25:59 amazing we're about to get saved we've got these flags inside we know who these 26:04 guys are F we don't know who's attacking us but we know these are our friends when did that when did you notice wait a 26:11 second something's not right here when the uh old man said U prepare 26:16 for torpedo here at starbur side I saw two Torpedoes go um 26:23 AF where the other two went I don't know but I know where one of them went 26:29 that hit in their communication uh spaces and killed 25 Brave young 26:36 men and that's that's one of the reasons I'm here today to be their voice because 26:42 they we're not going to let them die in vain this there's you know there's only there's not many survivors left that are 26:49 dying out and uh it's our duty As Americans and Patriots to take care of them and 26:56 make sure their lives did didn't die in vain and you know um all presidents and all 27:04 Congress including Donald Trump has not done anything for 27:11 us they're beholden to the Zion State APAC you know uh Donald Trump's a new 27:18 president again I call on Donald Trump to help us I mean we gave our lives and our 27:25 blood for this country at the hands of the zist Israel and does he stand with Israel or 27:32 does he stand with the United States fighting men that were slaughtered that day by the Z State covered up sat with 27:40 mistaken identity I Call On You president Trump to give the USS Liberty the same 27:46 courtesy we deserve or any fighting man that was killed that day but we don't 27:51 get it because Israel did it it's fine as long as Israel did it everybody it's fine it was a mistaken identity it 27:57 wasn't and Admiral Moore he had the Moore report it's a very very detailed report he's the longest serving Admiral 28:04 in the United States Navy he served as the European commander and the Pacific 28:09 commander and two two times as chairman of Joint Chiefs and he says I'll never believe it was a mistaken identity and 28:17 he called he called on Congress uh over and over to have an investigation Congress says there there 28:24 already has been an investigation there never has been there's been a a board of 28:29 inquiry by uh Admiral Isaac kid and his b or his 28:34 underling Jag officer board Boston they completed that investigation in seven 28:40 days should have taken a year they never even talked to Israel they took Israel's word instead of 28:47 ours so you're watching you're on this boat you see this torpedo hit that torpedo instantly kills 25 28:54 servicemen um and you escape fortunately um are able to 29:02 escape this what is going on in your mind because I just I'm thinking of that moment of Consciousness when you think 29:08 you're going to be saved because you see your friend and your Ally and then suddenly you realize that your friend 29:14 and your ally is actually killing you and they're in torpedo boats so there's no way they're they're they know this is 29:20 an American ship right what's going on in your mind and emotionally in that moment if you could 29:26 take yourself back what how that conscious switch of wait a second this is not my friend I'm being 29:33 betrayed well I think Jesus Christ would would know a lot about betrayal and we bet we were 29:40 betrayed and um I think that's one of the reasons I'm 29:45 here is because Jesus Christ didn't want us to die that day he wanted us well I I'll put it this way God saved us from 29:53 God's chosen people it's what he did exactly what he did 29:59 we put over three life rafts that's all we had left they they shot all of our life rafts up we put three over they 30:06 shot two of them we're going to put our most seriously wounded in them so they'd have a chance of Life they shot two out 30:12 of the water and took one aboard the RO boat is a trophy of the kill it's in hia 30:18 somewhere wow they took one aboard so there's absolutely no way they did not know no that these this was an American 30:26 ship they take one on board as a trophy they're shooting it out you are now realizing that you cannot help the 30:33 wounded Torpedoes are hitting you what happens next well when the torpedo hit 30:41 um we did what we could do for damage control and we like I say put over the life rafts and and they shot him out the 30:48 water and they continued and continued and continued doing that until finally they just quit and we 30:53 thought it we thought it was over but it wasn't they sent over troop carry helicopters with Marines in it to board 31:01 our ship scut the ship and U and kill us all I was on the main deck when they 31:08 when they were coming over what is your condition at that moment where like what were you doing on the main deck I was on 31:13 the main deck trying to still get people off the main deck and then uh they got there and this 31:21 Marine he had his foot on the skid I thought they were going to come down in a rope or ladder or 31:26 whatever and I I just gave him the finger and he gave it right back to me 31:32 and just smiled this is an IDF Soldier he smiled at you 31:37 smiling great big smile then they just they just took off the gig was up I mean 31:43 they they they confess well mistaken identity we thought it was elaz there was a H A Horse 31:50 Transport and uh enemy ship that's what they said and that was their excuse and they got by with it 31:56 because of a crooked guy then and now I just can't even imagine this so 32:02 you was watching your mates die bleeding torpedo nap bom and you make eye contact 32:08 with this guy thinking he's going to board the ship you give him the finger and he gives you the finger back and smiles at you mhm and then they leave 32:16 they leave and um we were left there for out there for 17 hours for help this is 32:22 the part that is so shocking to me because the president United States knows that you're under attack the 32:30 Secretary of Defense knows that you're under attack you know that as you said Captain 32:36 uh Sully Scully Tully uh tried twice to help save you they know you're under 32:42 attack and you're telling me that after they went away 17 32:49 hours take me through what you guys did how many people at that moment were 32:56 injured dying what was happening on that ship for the next 72 17 hours well 2third of the crew 33:03 was either dead or wounded and uh doc keer we had one one 33:09 doc aboard the ship he had been shot in the ab Adon and uh both of his Le knees 33:16 were shot up and he operated for 17 hours on 33:21 people I helped him in one operation a guy by the name of Gary Blanchard he was 33:27 hit he was H bad and um he says take my socks off my 33:33 feet are hot hot hot so I rubbed these feet try to get some 33:38 circulation I went over to the side and looked at him and he says you think I'm going to 33:44 die I said yeah I think you are and uh doc cut him 33:50 open and he he was dead so that went on all 33:56 night puty few stitches and went throw him and and put him over the side and 34:02 just kept on doing it what were some of the uh Last 34:08 Words cuz I'm sure as you said many people died what did they say I mean what were 34:14 the conversations that you recall you know Candace I really didn't 34:20 recall a whole lot about that I guess I just blocked it out um I do know that 34:26 the the uh Lieutenant Commander Armstrong he died in the mess deex uh he was hit up bad too but I 34:34 remember I L he he was a heavy smoker i l him a couple cigarettes and then I left and I came 34:43 back and he was dead so the conversation was just helping 34:48 people everybody was able-bodied helped them I was in Walking wounded a lot of them were walking wounded and all they 34:56 all they did was want to help their fellow Shipmates bravest crew I've ever seen in my life I mean we guys come come 35:02 together like none none other we had none to fight back with but 35:07 our will and our wits and with with God's beautiful hand on us in fact when that ship got torpedoed it was like the 35:15 hand of God was holding us up because it was going like that ready to roll over it just stopped W unbelievable and 35:23 you're just 20 years old that's just unbelievable yes 35:28 and so 17 hours later 2/3 of the crew is 35:35 dead what happens um what ship did you see first what was going through your 35:41 mind well the first first thing we saw was U several days later when admal kid 35:49 got there and he he uh we told him everything what happened and why didn't you come help us and U this and that and 35:57 he took took off these Stars he says I'm just like your dad he had four or five was in sick Bay 36:04 at the time three stars out there he said I'm just like you Dad please tell me everything you saw we told him about the 36:12 Machining of the life rafts with the uh machine gun of all the people uh the 36:19 helicopters everything went on and then he put his stars back on he 36:25 says he got be red and he got right my face says I'm telling you you better never talk about this again to anybody 36:31 I'll make sure you end up in prison find or worse you know what worse means I yes sir I 36:39 do but he did that to everybody in fact they they split up everybody they they 36:45 took him to different bases there was one fellow his name is Mickey lame he still got 50 pieces of strap on 36:53 him right now they took him to uh brov in Germany 36:59 for Metal Creek he was in a room with a bunch of other people uh lot of 37:05 different beds they took him out of that bed he got his own room and he was 37:10 interrogated by an officer he says your name is no longer L May it's Smith you know nothing about the USS Liberty don't 37:17 ever talk about it so you survive living hell you watch 37:24 your mates die you wait 17 hours and you're thinking okay at least 37:31 now it's over and instead you guys get reprimanded and you're told essentially 37:36 we'll kill you yes it's it's absolutely in in fact I didn't talk about it until 37:43 uh 40 about 42 43 years ago I met my 37:49 second wife there was an article in the paper by a person by the name of um oh 37:56 my goodness uh um Stan white he was a a chief uh Master 38:01 Chief and I felt like the whole world had just come off my shoulders because he was talking if he was talking I'm I 38:08 can I'm going to start talking and I haven't shut up since wow this is just 38:14 unbelievable unbelievable so you're all ordered uh into silence and how long you 38:21 said before you started speaking how many years was that from see uh well for 38:28 see 41 uh 18 years after the fact so you actually you stayed silent on this and I 38:34 I never I didn't even tell my my wife Lisa that I was uh ever in the military 38:41 I even forgot what day had happened that's how far back I pushed it 38:46 and uh like I say when when I read that article man I was I said now I'm I'm on 38:52 it and uh I mean the whole thing is 38:58 you when your own government betrays you and still betrays you and every 39:05 Congressman betrays you say what you saw you really didn't see what you heard you really didn't heard 39:12 here uh that's pretty that's pretty bad uh they're calling us Liars Nazis 39:18 and Jew haters our own Congress and I'd like to I tell you what I'd like to call out Charlie Liberty incident is very frequently used by anti-semites 39:54 who suggest that Israel deliberately targets American ships and then pays no penalty so both American Naval records 40:01 and Israeli Air Force records suggest that there was a case of mistaken identity wherein USS Liberty was in the 40:07 Mediterranean in a place they were not supposed to be Israel thought that it was an Egyptian ship and shot it that's 40:13 that's the actual full story now there are a bunch of conspiracy theories on actually both sides of this there's a conspiracy theory on the American side 40:20 that suggests that Israel for no reason that can be discerned decided to shoot up an American chip to accomplish no one 40:27 really can explain what and then on the other side there is a a theory that I've not seen a lot of support for that the 40:34 USS Liberty was being used as a transmission vessel to send Israeli military locations to the Egyptians 40:41 during the 67 war and Israel knew that and shot it again I think the evidence is lacking on both of those things and there have been multiple Naval 40:47 investigations of the USS Liberty incident they all come down the same side which is that this 44:40 I'll sort of ask questions because there's other big events from around that time period that are similarly 44:47 classified um in a way that doesn't really make sense you know Lynden Bane Johnson the nation did not vote for him 44:53 to be president of the United States obviously yes um JFK was assassinated 44:59 and it is a fact that prior to his assassination uh he was adamant that he 45:06 wanted APAC which I think was going by a different name at that time to register as a foreign agent and that they had 45:13 ignored his demand that they register as a foreign agent um and then when he was 45:19 shot a couple of months later he no longer had to register they no longer 45:24 had to register as a foreign agent is also a fact that leading up to his death 45:29 he was having um fights which they have not Declassified arguments with uh the 45:36 prime minister of Israel at that time uh benan if again not Declassified any of 45:44 those conversations so we don't know what it was that they were arguing about but I would imagine Lynden Bane Johnson 45:50 would have known that he had this sort of contentious relationship 45:57 uh obviously with them trying to implement APAC and not wanting it to be registered as a foreign agent and 46:03 obviously him having arguments as a number two guy you would think that he would know this and before muamar 46:11 Gaddafi the president of Libya was murdered uh By Us arming insurgents he 46:18 gave a speech in front of the UN where he demanded that they investigate the 46:23 killing of JFK and he said everybody know knows that he was trying to stop 46:31 their nuclear Armament uh he spoke about the nuclear reactor and he had heavily suggested in 46:41 that speech in the UN that that was another perhaps that could have been the reason that he was arguing with the 46:46 prime minister of course we'll never know and so it's quite shocking to know that information to realize that JFK got 46:53 killed and to also know that the person who allegedly shot him uh Le oald Harvey 47:00 said he didn't shoot him didn't kill him and then he was shot by a guy named Jacob Rubenstein who marar Gaddafi alleges was 47:09 also an Israeli uh National maybe he had dual citizenship I'm not sure because again we don't have the files I'm just 47:15 speaking about what has been said in the public sphere it's kind of shocking that Lyndon 47:21 Bane Johnson would be such an ally to Israel so much so that he would tell 47:28 people I don't care if American Sailors die I'm not going to embarrass Israel 47:34 which means he didn't inherit JFK's frustration with the nation he did not 47:39 he uh if you remember he says uh you had a 47:44 friend in uh JFK of Israel but I'm I'm going to be much a much better friend Post in 2008 the article 48:06 is entitled a friend indeed I'll just read a bit of it a few weeks ago the Associated Press reported the newly 48:13 released tapes from US president Lyndon Johnson's White House office which showed lbj's quote personal and often 48:20 emotional connection to Israel the news agency pointed out that during the Johnson presidency the United States 48:26 became Israel's Chief diplomatic Ally and primary arms supplier but the news 48:32 report does little to reveal the full historical extent of Johnson's actions on behalf of the Jewish people in the 48:37 Jewish 50:15 victim of blood liel he's actually uh he murdered a young Catholic girl uh during 50:22 Passover in 19 I believe it was 1913 I'll have to back check that uh but they 50:28 present him as a victim uh of a blood liel Johnson's later told friends that lynon's family hid in their Cellar while 50:35 his father and Uncle stood guard with shotguns on their porch in the case of the KKK
