When people get pets, most often they would love their companion to be included in every segment of their life. They walk with them, eat with them, take baths with them, go on vacations with them, even sleep with them. This may not be such a bright idea, since boundaries have to be set, but people still do it and they swear it builds a solid, trusting relationship with their animals.

Now, we get that letting your dog or cat sit beneath the dinner table, waiting for a scrap to fall here and there, is not too dangerous. Other than, maybe, teaching your pet that this is standard behavior and it is ok. Napping on the couch is still fairly alright. But to share a drinking fountain with your pet at the same time might actually be the worst idea a pet owner can think of.

Still, this woman shared a drink from the water fountain with her Friesian horse like it is the most ordinary thing in the world. The horse, named Bumba, has been with Monique since he was a foal in 2006 and they have been almost inseparable. They go for rides, take baths, endure the visit of the dentist and have picnics on days off. Monique looks after her stallion like he were her own child and for a very good reason. One such elegant pet can set you ban anywhere between $25,000 and $30,000!

The Friesian originates in the province of Friesland in the northern Netherlands, where there is evidence of thousands of years of horse populations. There are mentions of Friesian troops which rode their own horses dating as back as the 4th century. One of the most notable sources was by an English writer named Anthony Dent who wrote about the Friesian mounted troops in Carlisle. He wrote that the Friesian horse was the ancestor of both the British Shire, and the Fell pony. Still, this is only a speculation.

The breed was made especially popular in the 18th and 19th centuries, when they were in demand for the trotting races that were popular back then. The Friesian may have been used as foundation stock for such breeds as the Dole Gudbrandsdal, the Norfolk Trotter (ancestor of the Hackney), and the Morgan. In the 1800s, the Friesian was bred to be lighter and faster for trotting, but this led to what some owners and breeders regarded as inferior stock, so a movement to return to pureblood stock took place at the end of the 19th century.

We’re sure you will agree that horses are one of the most majestic and beautiful animals on the planet. Despite the fact that they can easily crush us with their sized and immensely powerful hooves and therefore inspire fear, horses are very tender and beautiful creatures. And they show their tenderness in a wonderful way. This thirsty horse has sure made our day!

Many people love their horses, take care of them and provide them with a natural life of the highest quality. But they cannot understand how horses communicate their gratitude, affection or even convey their reaction back to people who handle them. Just like a cat that folds on its lap, or a puppy that licks its nose, the horse has ways of saying that they love you.

Each of the horses has a very different personality and brings a different specialty to the sessions. People gravitate towards a certain horse or, more often, a horse will gravitate towards them and then the real magic begins. The horses are exceptionally affectionate, playful and even patient. People describe their time at the Mane Intent differently, but all agree that the ten gentle souls that make up this herd are truly unique. For many, the visit is a very moving and emotional experience that can drastically change their outlook. These horses are capable of connecting with people in a way that has to be seen to be believed.
