US troops withdraw from Niger after over a decade of anti-terror failures

US troops are now seeking a new base of operations in West Africa after the withdrawal deadline from Niger expired today. They were ordered to leave following 11 years of failed attempts by Washington to establish security in the Sahel region. RT's Noluvuyo Kunge reports.
