Russian tourist miraculously survives lightning strike

A Russian tourist has somehow survived being struck by lightning in the Black Sea tourist resort of Batumi, Georgia. Pavel Smirnov, 32, was dancing for an Instagram reel when he was zapped, falling to the ground on fire. Miraculously, despite being burned all over, he avoided critical injury, and is expected to make a full recovery after treatment. ‘The prognosis is most favorable, and therefore we think that he will be discharged in the coming days,’ doctors said. No pun intended.
Smirnov, however, has no health insurance, and so will have to pay for his treatment himself. Not that most insurance companies cover acts of God anyway.
