Ohio woman kills and eats neighbor’s cat

An Ohio woman is in custody after allegedly killing and eating her neighbor’s pet cat. Allexis Ferrell, according to eyewitnesses, stomped on the cat’s head until it died, then bent down and began eating it right there on the driveway, much to the horror of, well, civilization in general. Bodycam footage, showing the woman’s arrest following the bizarre felicide, went viral last week on social media.

This wasn’t, however, the only non-standard animal killing and eating story to break in the US, because of course it wasn’t. As the cat eating story went viral, so did numerous reports of Haitian migrants (oddly specifically Haitian migrants) hunting and killing all manner of animals (which range from common house pets to bald eagles, depending on how salacious you like your clickbait). Which in turn prompted fountains of memes. We won’t include any here (on the grounds that most of the rumors seem a bit dubious), but if you’re curious… let’s just say these days it’s not just curiosity that kills the cat.
