Man removed from flight over Trump middle finger/Hawk Tuah girl t-shirt

Donald Trump and the Hawk Tuah girl collided on a t-shirt, but this was no mid-air collision. The t-shirt surrounded a man who was attempting to board a Delta Airlines flight from Florida, but said man ended up being escorted off the plane by flight attendants after a complaint by another passenger. The t-shirt – which shows Donald Trump wearing USA sunglasses, giving two middle fingers and bearing the infamous ‘Hawk Tuah’ and ‘Spit on that Thing’ slogans that were popular for about 7 seconds a few months ago – was deemed offensive by a fellow passenger. The meme t-shirt enjoyer was given the option of turning the t-shirt inside out before he got on the plane, however he turned the t-shirt right side out again after taking his seat, leading to a woman known only as ‘Wendy’ removing the t-shirt, and the man underneath, from the flight.

The video was shared on the official Delta subreddit (yes, apparently that’s a place), where obviously everyone praised the airline’s actions and denounced the man for this choice of attire. Reactions elsewhere were somewhat more mixed, with some pointing out that airlines do actually have dress codes, and that this particular t-shirt wasn’t all that appropriate for children. Others, however, wondered if he would have been treated differently if it were a vulgar t-shirt that didn’t feature Trump, or were an Antifa or a Kamala Harris t-shirt. Not that anyone actually wears Kamala Harris t-shirts.
