Moose rescued after roaming St Petersburg streets (and river)

St. Petersburg citizens were somewhat puzzled to see a moose pass by on a street on a Saturday afternoon. In an attempt to make his appearance more extraordinary, or perhaps taking part in some challenge we don’t know about, the animal then dove into the Neva River. However, Slavik (that’s how the rescuers called him) was saved shortly after and released back into his natural habitat.
