Do Not Neglect This - Kelvin Sam

This time we have Kelvin Sam from Frikirken International Church, Aalborg, with a message entitled "Do not neglect this", skimming through Matthew 23. Kelvin is a regular guest preacher at the ICC and no stranger to many. His inspiring teaching and preaching has blessed many of us over the years.

As recorded by Matthew, we hear a very challenging yet fascinating proclamation that Jesus made to the religious people of his day. It seems that the leaders were emphasizing some meticulous practices of the law while neglecting the spirit of the law. Could it be that we too could fall into a similar trap? For example, Paul told Timothy not to neglect being an evangelist. Could his own disciple have neglected something important, or was it just a reminder?

In Christianity, along with our daily busy lifestyles, we could all easily fall into a ritual of "business as usual" and overlook the very purpose of our existence - to be a salty and shining witness. Come and let us examine our own lives in the light of Jesus' challenges in Matthew 23 and do some soul searching about where we are in Christ.
