Avoid Vitamin B6 Toxicity to Prevent Nerve Damage! [2024]
Did you know your Vitamin B6 or Multivitamin supplement may cause nerve damage?
They use a form of B6 called Pyridoxal (Pyridoxal-5'Phosphate) [P-5-P].
This build up of P5P over time becomes toxic disrupting normal nerve signaling and metabolism. This can be Tingling, Numbness, and Pain in your hands and feet, also called Peripheral Neuropathy.
The best form of B6 is called Pyridoxamine because it is not toxic at high doses.
However, it has been banned by the FDA, because it works too well at helping people with Type 2 Diabetes, Wrinkling, Heart Disease, Kidney Failure, and Alzheimer's Disease by
inhibiting Advanced Glycation End Products that causes inflammation!
The FDA only wants it available as a prescription drug...
So we are stuck with P5P, problems occur at doses of 250mg and higher.
- Rashes, Skin Irritation, Dizzy, Nausea, Poor muscle control, and Itching, Burning, Needles, Crawling (Dysesthesias).
To be safe, do not go over 100mg a day to ensure you will not have a build up of P5P in your nerves. You can also take it on and off.
Stop taking B6 if you do not feel good.
