Are Book Sanctuaries Safe for Children? | EP 30 #bannedbooksarethebestbooks
Moorestown NJ became the first sanctuary library in southern NJ recently. Pennsauken, NJ quickly followed and Mount Laurel votes on it soon. We’re calling it a high place that needs to be torn down.
A sanctuary library is defined by thebooksanctuary.org as a “Physical or digital space that actively protects the freedom to read. It provides shelter and access to endangered books and can be created by anyone and can exist anywhere – in a library, a classroom, a coffee shop corner, a community center, public park, your bedroom bookshelf, or even on social media.”
The problem we see is in public libraries where these so called banned or endangered books are really just pornographic or enticing young people to engage in sexual sin.
So we headed out to Moorestown NJ to talk to some librarians and report to you what’s really going on.
