Taliban marks 3rd anniversary of seizing power

The Taliban have marked three years since they took power following the US’ chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan, with a ceremony in Bagram, at the site of a former US military base. A military parade was followed by speeches commemorating what a statement from Prime Minister Mohammad Hassan Akhund called a ‘decisive victory over an international arrogant and occupying force.’ Hundreds of people, including Chinese and Iranian diplomats, were in attendance.
