While the babies are certainly dangerous, there are a LOT of myths out there about them. Please do your own self-education, and check out some vids about the myths vs. reality of baby rattlesnakes, and form your own opinion on the subject matter.

Far out. I generally use one of these trash pickers with the rubber ends and a bucket to move snakes off the child and pet areas of a property and into the wild.   Yeah 100% - if I can move them, that is my preferred method. At the time, I was in shorts and flip flop "Jesus Boots" - completely unprepared for a capture. The RV Park owner was a little more than pissed I didn't kill it in the moment, but I hate killing like that...

I heard rattlers are starting to be bread to not rattle at humans because so many humans kill them when they do. The rattle snake is the only snake nice enough to let you know, to stay clear, when they see you first. I give them lots of respect for that. They don't deserve to be killed.

  Agreed. The RV Park owner was a little pissed off that I didn't kill it - she knows I don't like to kill, but I do get the concern. There are a lot of pets and old folks here that might not be paying attention.
