Biden’s ‘stupid threats’ caused Ukraine conflict – Trump

Donald Trump has made a defiant return to X (formerly Twitter), taking part in a live conversation with owner Elon Musk on Monday. Among the topics covered was the Ukraine conflict, and the former president pulled no punches when discussing this.

A big reason for the ongoing hostilities and danger of escalation, said Trump, was Joe Biden and his ‘stupid threats’ against Russia. Trump himself had seen Russia’s build-up of troops on the Ukrainian border as a show of strength and a negotiating tactic. ‘I thought he [Putin] was doing that – because Putin’s a good negotiator – I thought he was doing that to negotiate. But then Biden started saying such stupid things.’

‘I could have stopped that, and a smart president could have stopped that,’ continued Trump. ‘It was so bad, the words that [Biden] was using, the stupid threats coming from his stupid face… that could lead to World War III.’
