Fading and withering. That pretty much defines the process of growing old. The Second Law of Thermodynamics can be summed up in 4 words......"Everything is wearing out". Isaiah tells us in 64:6 that we (our life) fade like a leaf. We get older and older and older......we get weaker and weaker....and then one day we take our last breath on earth. The reason we age is because of sin. Sin ruins our physical life and then one day ruins our eternal life unless we repent of our sins and trust...accept....and believe upon Jesus Christ and His finished work for us upon the cross. Jesus said...."What will it profit (or benefit) a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul.
Life is short.....eternity is long.....Hell is awful.....but heaven is attainable and wonderful because "God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him will not persih, but have eternal life." Choose Jesus. Choose life.
