Representative Maxwell Frost (D-FL) said Tuesday on CNN’s “Newsroom” that Republicans like Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN), who say Vice President Kamala Harris is a DEI hire, are essentially using the N-word.

Frost said, “He is going to continue to use all these racist dog whistles throughout the campaign. We’re going to see it from Trump. We’re going to see it from J.D. Vance. So we’re going to see it from a lot of their surrogates. In fact, just yesterday, one of the surrogates was saying if we don’t win, we’re going to have to have a civil war to get our agenda through– a civil war.

Former President Donald Trump and Florida officials commented on U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle’s resignation following a Monday hearing where she testified.

“The Biden/Harris Administration did not properly protect me, and I was forced to take a bullet for Democracy,” Trump said on social media. “IT WAS MY GREAT HONOR TO DO SO!”

DeSantis argued that Cheatle should have “resigned immediately” following the shooting.

“Biden should have fired her anyways. After her disastrous testimony, she had no other option, but this is only the beginning of what needs to be sweeping accountability for the agency,” he said.
