  • Personally, I would've attacked the primary assertion by the United States that Trump spread "knowingly" false claims about the election results. We know that "intent" is a necessary element of criminality, and the burden of proof for a declaration of "fraud-free" election results should fall squarely on the shoulders of any making such an allegation in support of an indictment for criminal conspiracy. It is quite obvious to any with 2 brain cells and above; Trump honestly believed (as also do any of those 2-brain-celled-plus individuals) that the results were fraudulent, which in and of itself should exonerate the charges, based solely on "intent."
