Cook with Cylia 14- Flank Steak Tagliata (with Basil Pesto)
👩🍳 ingredients :
- 0.5 bunch Basil
- 2 Flank steaks
- 0.5 Garlic clove
- 30 g Grated Parmigiano Reggiano
- 3 Potatoes
🔪 Preparation
1. The Mashed Potatoes
- Peel and cut the potatoes into pieces.
- Place them in a saucepan and cover generously with water or use a steamer
- Cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Drain and mash the potatoes. Season with salt and pepper. Add a splash of milk and a knob of butter for a creamier mash.
- Meanwhile, prepare the pesto.
2. The Pesto
- In a blender, place the following ingredients:
- Peel the garlic.
- Remove the basil leaves from the stems.
- Add the Parmesan, olive oil, and water. Season with salt and pepper, then blend everything together.
- Tip: Add more water if necessary for a thinner pesto.
3. The Flank Steaks
- Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Cook the flank steaks for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, depending on your preferred level of doneness.
- Before serving, slice the steaks into strips.
4. Serving
- Serve your flank steak drizzled with pesto alongside the mashed potatoes!
