Matt Thompson works fire protection maintenance at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor during the day; at night, he runs Thompson Woodworks. The metro Detroit man loves woodworking and a good drink. This time he decided it was high time he merged those two loves of his into one and create a lawn chair that delivers beverages through a chute with just the pull of a lever.

It looks like any old lawn chair - made out of cedar wood, with nice back and armrests. The backrest itself is in the shape of the state of Michigan, which is really cool in on itself, but that is not what we are here to talk about. The left armrest has a slot that hold your wine glass, while on your right side is the lever that pours up to four glasses of wine, as presented by Matt’s lovely wife Hollie.

Matt says he had been working on this project for quite some time, costing him more than 100 hours and over $500 on the wood alone. Many have approached him with the intent on purchasing one such chair, with no luck.

That is too bad, because our mouths have been watering as we watched this clip.
