They stay for a considerable time, performing miraculous signs. When they learn of a plot to stone them, they flee to Lystra and Derbe, continuing to preach the gospel. Paul and Barnabas strongly disagree, and the matter is brought to the apostles and elders in Jerusalem. In Corinth, Paul meets Aquila and Priscilla, Jewish tentmakers who recently fled Rome due to an edict by Claudius expelling Jews. Paul stays and works with them while preaching every Sabbath in the synagogue. Despite opposition from some Jews, many Corinthians, including Crispus, the synagogue leader, believe and are baptized. The Lord encourages Paul in a vision to keep speaking, promising protection. Paul stays in Corinth for a year and a half. When the Jews bring Paul before the proconsul Gallio, accusing him of illegal worship, Gallio dismisses the case, seeing it as an internal Jewish matter. Paul then sails to Syria, accompanied by Aquila and Priscilla, and makes a brief stop in Ephesus, where he promises to return. After visiting Jerusalem and Antioch, Paul begins his third journey. Meanwhile, in Ephesus, Aquila and Priscilla meet Apollos, an eloquent speaker who only knows John's baptism. They explain the way of God more accurately to him, after which he continues to preach effectively, especially in Achaia, refuting Jewish opponents and proving from the Scriptures that Jesus is the Messiah.

Through Paul's ministry, all residents of Asia hear the word of the Lord. God performs extraordinary miracles through Paul, such as healing the sick and casting out evil spirits with handkerchiefs and aprons that touched him. Some itinerant Jewish exorcists, including the seven sons of Sceva, attempt to invoke the name of Jesus but are overpowered by an evil spirit, leading to fear and reverence for Jesus' name. Many new believers confess their practices and burn their scrolls of sorcery. The chapter concludes with a significant uproar in Ephesus, instigated by Demetrius, a silversmith who fears that Paul's message threatens the trade of making silver shrines of Artemis. A mob drags Paul's companions, Gaius and Aristarchus, to the theater, but the city clerk eventually calms the crowd, dismissing the assembly and advising them to pursue legal channels if they have grievances.

Paul and his companions travel by sea, making several stops, including Tyre, where the disciples, through the Spirit, urge Paul not to go to Jerusalem. Despite their warnings, Paul is determined to continue. They reach Caesarea and stay with Philip the evangelist, where the prophet Agabus dramatically predicts Paul’s arrest by binding his own hands and feet with Paul’s belt. Paul remains resolute, stating his willingness to be bound and even to die for the name of the Lord Jesus. Upon arriving in Jerusalem, Paul is welcomed by the brethren and reports in detail what God has done among the Gentiles through his ministry. To appease concerns among Jewish believers about his teachings, Paul agrees to participate in a purification ritual at the temple. However, some Jews from Asia stir up the crowd against him, accusing him of teaching against the Jewish law and defiling the temple by bringing Gentiles into it. A riot ensues, and Paul is seized and beaten until Roman soldiers intervene and take him into custody. As Paul is being led away, he asks for and is granted permission to address the hostile crowd.

Paul begins his defense by declaring his clear conscience, which provokes an outburst from the high priest Ananias, who orders Paul to be struck on the mouth. Paul rebukes Ananias, not realizing he is the high priest, and then cleverly divides the council by declaring his Pharisaic belief in the resurrection, which leads to a heated dispute between the Pharisees and Sadducees. Fearing for Paul's safety, the Roman commander takes him back into custody. That night, the Lord appears to Paul, encouraging him to be courageous as he must also testify in Rome. The next morning, more than forty Jews conspire to kill Paul and take an oath not to eat or drink until they succeed. Paul's nephew learns of the plot and informs the Roman commander, who arranges for Paul to be escorted by a large detachment of soldiers to Governor Felix in Caesarea to ensure his safety. The commander also writes a letter to Felix, outlining the situation and Paul's Roman citizenship. Paul arrives in Caesarea and is kept under guard in Herod's palace until his accusers arrive.

After being shipwrecked on the island of Malta, Paul and the others are welcomed by the islanders. Paul miraculously survives a venomous snake bite, leading the islanders to regard him as a god. He heals many of the sick on the island, including the father of the chief official, Publius. After three months, they continue their journey and finally reach Rome. Paul is allowed to live under house arrest, where he continues to preach the gospel boldly and without hindrance to all who visit him. He meets with Jewish leaders in Rome, explaining the kingdom of God and persuading them about Jesus from the Law of Moses and the Prophets. Some believe, while others do not. The book of Acts ends with Paul proclaiming the gospel in Rome for two years, demonstrating the unstoppable nature of the message of Jesus Christ.
