One of the things that people who are prone to depression will do quite often, or all the time, is compare themselves to others. And I did this frequently, still do it sometimes and catch myself, because of a core belief of feeling not good enough.

So we're continually, with that low self -esteem that that generates, comparing ourselves to others and coming up short. That can be a driver of depression, so it's very important to check those thoughts.
