Danny Gonzalez (and his fans) are still pathetic | responding to Starbucks cup controversy comments

On June 13, 2024, a Heliophobian video was created on Danny Gonzalez, who is a former Vine short video creator and current comedy and commentary YouTuber from the US, with over 5 million subscribers. He is associated with channels such as Drew Gooden, Cody Ko and Kurtis Conner.

The video was titled "Danny Gonzalez is pathetic... (apologises to Twitter and Reddit over Starbucks cup)" and it covered what I felt to be a really dumb controversy regarding the situation briefly described in the title.

On May 20, 2024, Gonzales uploaded a video titled "Recreating Insane DadToks," which mostly focused on the YouTuber trying to imitate funny dad TikTok videos. Around four and a half minutes into the video, a half-empty Starbucks coffee cup is used to support his phone while he tries to recreate a viral video. The video amassed more than 1 million views and 99,000 likes in a day.

Shortly after the video was uploaded, some fans of the creator started to spot the Starbucks coffee cup and criticize the lack of position from Gonzales about the Israel-Hamas war which began in October 2023, implying Gonzalez supported Israel in spite of allegations of human rights violations made by parties including the United Nations and several nations in the International Criminal Court.

Gonzalez apologised in spite of the fact that the association between Starbucks and Israel is flimsy at best; the Delek Group shut down their few Tel Aviv stores over 2 decades ago, and the relevant dispute between Starbucks and the Israel-Hamas war regards a pro-Hamas post made by the Workers United union under the Starbucks name and logo on October 7, which led to a legal dispute over alleged trademark infringement.

This video responds to some of the comments left in response to my video and subsequent commentary on the situation, because they were mostly really bad insults and dumb takes.
