This time, Ravi completes the long series of the sermon on the mount with the a message entitles, “Build for Destiny or Disaster?” Don’t miss this grand finally.

In Matthew 7:24-29, the author records Jesus’ concluding remarks of the sermon on the mount with these words, "“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.”

As God gave the Law to Moses at Mount Sinai, Jesus is unfolding the Law to His disciples on the side of the Sermon Mount. He pleads with us to wisely build our life on a firm foundation. The Rock is Jesus - the Living Word. Anyone who builds upon this Rock will stand. We stand because the challenges of life symbolized by “storms, floods and hurricane” will surely come. These situations and circumstances has the ability to completely destroy all that you have invested time, money and energy to build - a great disaster indeed. On the contrary, one who applies on the wisdom of God, the creator of life, using Jesus as foundation, will see what is build stand the test of time. Yes, “storms, floods and hurricane” will surely come, however, your investment will not crash. Jesus never fails and what He builds will last - IF - you are build by Him and upon Him.

The opportunity to be build on Christ and by Christ is still available to us all. The choice is ours - build on Jesus (The Rock) or build or on sand (ammos or beach sand). It is never too late to relocate your building project, or perhaps make some major renovation. We are meant to be build for destiny, not for disaster.
