The Role of the United Nations - Illusion or Influence

Why should we attend any UN conferences?

What has the UN actually accomplished?

The UN is often viewed as a private club created by Western powers to give Third World nations the illusion of having a voice and a vote. In reality, decisions are often made before any meetings take place, and participants are led to believe they have decision-making power when they do not. The UN functions like a psychologist for Third World countries and the adversaries of the Anglo-Saxon world, treating their inferiority complexes by giving them a false sense of importance. If these countries were truly aware and not manipulated, they would have walked out of the UN and built their own parallel organization.
