People's Party of Canada Leader Maxime Bernier is running in the Manitoba byelection for the Portage-Lisgar riding. The riding of Portage-Lisgar was previously held by longtime Conservative MP Candice Bergen, who served as the party's interim leader after the ousting of O'Toole and stepped down in February. Candice Bergen won the riding in 2021 with over 50 per cent of the vote. The People's Party of Canada candidate came in second with 22 per cent indicating that the party has solid roots in the riding. Bernier is up against Bergen's former campaign manager Branden Leslie. Andrew James McGann, a 28-year-old former teacher, has been arrested and charged with the stabbing deaths of Clinton and Cristen Brink, who were killed while hiking with their two daughters at Devil’s Den State Park in Arkansas. McGann, who previously taught in Texas and Oklahoma, was arrested four days after the murders and admitted to the killings, though no motive has been released. The victims’ daughters, ages 7 and 9, escaped and alerted authorities. McGann is being held on two counts of capital murder, Fox 4 has reported. Canadian Mayor BLASTS Dysfunctional School Board. They proceeded to prove him right. Total deflection. https://twitter.com/marcusryanzorra The whole thing was refereed to the strictest standards of parliament by a so-called "parliamentarian" named Lori Lukinuk. https://www.lorilukinuk.com/ https://twitter.com/llukinuk At one point Lukinuk outright declared: "AS YOU KNOW, ARGUMENTIVENESS AND CRITICISM ARE NOT ALLOWED, IN ANY FORM .. um .. IN THE BOARD ROOM". A very odd declaration indeed. It carries with it, Orwellian "Ministry of Truth" style overtones. Mayor Ryan went on to point out that this declaration, effectively banning argument and criticism from a board room, was a perfect example of the dysfunction that he was there to address. He questioned the very function and purpose of this Board Room itself. This, of course, resulted in him being given the bum's rush. In my opinion, Mayor Ryan is absolutely right. It appears these trustees see themselves as royalty. Beyond debate. Boardrooms are places that are set aside and intended for debate. Argument, criticism and critical thinking are key components of every debate. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the above declaration, it is not clear what "not allowed" means. She did not cite any particular legislation so it remains a bit of a mystery. It is assumed that she referenced the proper legislation and written policies before presenting such a strange declaration. It would be interesting to see ANY legislation or policy that bans criticism and argument from ANY Board Room -anywhere. (Facebook maybe?) She also applied the classic Liberal qualifier "IN ALL FORMS". Parents won't have a chance in that room. ************************ HISTORY *************************** On April 12-2022, TVDSB Trustee Corrine Rahman proposed an edict in an attempt to override the rights of parents and students, by imposing a mask mandate on all students in contravention of provincial law. Officials from the local Health Units attended: Dr. Alex Summers - Medical Officer of Health - London Dr. Ninh Tran - Medical Officer of Health - Elgin and Oxford They told trustees there was a spike in COVID cases that can't be confirmed and are not reflected in official figures because current testing and tracking is unreliable. They referenced "waste water numbers" and "absenteeism". They also referenced generalized hospitalization data that did not differentiate between an Admission "with Covid" from an Admission "for Covid". Overall, the input was somewhat vague and unalarming. Although, the current situation did not allow the health officials to issue an edict, they did go as far as to "strongly recommend" masking. They both feel masks are "helpful". The Board was warned that a mask edict would be unenforceable and was clearly beyond the board's powers, by both the Health Officials and the board's legal council. The vote ended as a tie but The Chair, Lori-Anne Pizzolato tried to argue that a TIE is a PASS. Of course, common sense was applied and the motion went down as defeated. After an attempted assassination on former U.S. president Donald Trump at his rally on Saturday, which left an attendee dead, the unhinged and deranged responses from Canadian university professors and columnists began flowing in. A UBC professor lamented that Trump’s would-be assassin missed his target while a University of Guelph professor laughed about the death of an innocent firefighter who tried to protect his family from the gun shots. Harrison Faulkner investigated the UofT campus anti-Israel occupation last week to see what exactly was going on. Despite the tent encampment obviously breaking several laws, campus police have permitted the occupation to remain in tact. The reasons as to why this has been allowed to go on for so long are unknown. The occupiers are strictly enforcing border measures of their territory and have set in place strict messaging control, only allowing media liaisons to speak to the press. When True North was finally let into the encampment, we were under the close supervision of a “media escort” who followed us everywhere we went and told us not to film any faces. The pro-Palestinian protests on American college campuses are still raging, as hundreds of protestors just overpowered police barricades on George Washington University’s campus. When will the universities get this insanity under control? The GW Hatchet, George Washington University’s student newspaper, reports: ‘Hundreds of protesters broke through barricades blocking access to the pro-Palestinian encampment in University Yard on Sunday night. At 11:28 p.m. students toppled the barricade between U-Yard and H Street after one GW Police Department officer, supported by three others, held the arms of a protester inside the encampment behind his back and moved him toward the encampment’s northwest barricade. Immediately after, one of the three officers removed his baton from its holster. Protesters on H Street — where a second encampment has formed following officials’ construction of a fence around U-Yard Friday morning — surged to the barricade, forcing an impasse, chanting “Let him go” and “Shame on you.”’ Encampment appears to be the mainstream media’s favorite word right now to describe the pro-Hamas takeovers on college campuses. However, the antisemitic protests are not just college kids camping out. Jewish students and faculty and those who support Israel are unsafe amid violent destruction and attacks. Similar to actions taken by Harvard to limit the protests to involving only college students, GWU set up barricades to keep outside agitators, i.e., professional protestors/organizers, from joining the fray. However, outsiders toppled the barricades, leading to what appears to be a scene from a bizarro version of Les Misérables: protestors standing on top of the barricades waving a Palestinian flag and spewing hateful rhetoric from a bullhorn. Police then intervened, but the rioting was so fierce that many of the police appeared to fear for their safety. I’m just as tired of these pro-Hamas riots on college campuses as you are – enough is enough. The ACLJ’s legal team is sending a demand letter to the Department of Education and the overrun colleges, reminding them of their legal obligation to protect Jewish and Zionist students (including Christian students) and stop violent protests. The school administrators are apparently afraid of their students. The administrators’ feckless response shows they also fear that shutting down these protests will be seen as a right-wing move. They are unwilling to make the hard choices necessary to regain control of their campuses. It’s time to end these protests that are endangering the safety of the students and faculty – the ACLJ is doing its part by putting pressure on the school administrations. I hope the school leaders act soon and prioritize the students’ safety rather than capitulate to the protestors’ radical demands. Anti-Israel attacks also are occurring at international tribunals. We have the shocking news that the International Criminal Court (ICC) could issue an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The ICC – made up of 124 countries and located in The Hague – doesn’t like how Israel is defending itself after the despicable atrocities committed by Hamas on October 7. If a warrant is issued on Netanyahu, his ability to go to certain places, such as Europe, to garner support for Israel would be severely limited. Former Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. and the U.N. Danny Danon joined Sekulow to discuss Israel’s determination to defend herself regardless of the international community’s condemnation: “We are still dealing with bringing back the hostages. We have war with Hezbollah in the north. So that’s another front. . . . We are determined to finish the job; we are determined to win this war against evil, against Hamas. So no one will stop us. Not the ICC, not the ICJ. We will do whatever it takes to win. We haven’t forgotten what [Hamas] did to us and what they are planning to do to us in the future. . . . We have seen what they are capable of doing, so we are determined to stand strong and proud.” The ACLJ was built for this moment. We will defend Israel when no one else will. We’ve argued directly before the ICC to defend Israel’s interests before – and won. We are mobilizing our legal team to prepare arguments to defend Israel yet again before the International Criminal Court. We will never stop defending our ally. An elementary school principal is facing multiple charges after he was caught on camera carrying out a vicious assault on a student. Dontay Prophet, principal of Destiny Leadership Academy in Ocala, Florida, was filmed on CCTV placing a young boy in chokehold, and whipping him with a charging cable. Prophet then twisted the boy’s ankle and slapped him in the face. The assault lasted around 40 minutes, until a teacher who heard screaming intervened. Prophet had previously been charged with sexually abusing a child, when he worked at a camp in 2017, but was not convicted due to a technicality, raising questions about how he was able to become a school principal in the first place. The school’s executive principal, Dr. Elvira Higgins, has not commented on Prophet’s appointment as principal, but the school confirmed that he has been fired, and that they have held a meeting with parents to discuss the incident. Prophet is currently being held without bail, and is charged with aggravated child abuse and false imprisonment of a child under 13.

There's some hope left for the future, as the kids in the class ask why they're learning it. This teacher was caught on video giving a slide presentation on pronouns. Teacher Darren says it would be disrespectful to call zir Mr. or Ms. Again, are the schools that hard up for teachers that they'll hire anybody? I've already done posts on a teacher instructing their students to call them Mx. We're not sure where this was shot or what grade it is, but the kids sound like middle schoolers. That certainly is a lot of pronouns. Perself, hirself, xemself, zirself … there's quite the selection, and of course, you should be offended if anyone misgenders you because you're obviously female. Look parents, this what your hard earned money is going for. I know I spent my money for my son’s college education and if I had it to do over he probably would have gone to trade school. That is in fact a female trying to convince kids that she is not a female. Contemplate the time that this teacher is taking away from productive learning. Yeah, how are those test scores coming … have we reached bottom yet … ? I don't think so… See, this has become an accepted part of the curriculum, so it's no longer considered controversial, at least to the administrators and educators… No, getting this out of the classroom involves going higher up the chain of command… You could complain at a school board meeting, but the FBI would start tracking your movements. All public schools should have webcams in every classroom that parents can access at ANY time to oversee what is going on with THEIR children. Everyone needs to be involved and informed about what the schools are doing to their own children. Ask. Look over assignments, books, etc. I have a response to this, but it is wildly disrespectful so use your imagination zerselves. Does anyone in the class know how to balance a checkbook or even make ice cubes? Probably not. This is why our students come out of schools ignorant. The students might be capable of learning something of value but are indoctrinated with this nonsense. Maybe, but a better way would be fire all these freaks, and quit hiring mentally deranged people to teach children. Usually, we get these videos from Libs of TikTok, the "incendiary" X account run by "professional harasser" Chaya Raichik, whose posts are often "laced with bigoted rhetoric." I'm not sure where this one's from, but I'd sure like to know.

It’s anonymous, and the first question you can ask is, ‘What is your name on the roster?’ Then the next question following up could be, you know, ‘What is the name you would like me to call you in class?’ And it’s really important to follow those up with questions such as, ‘Can I share this information with your caretakers?
