This Week’s Activity and Events:

This week was a fairly light week of training as we put in a couple rides, a couple runs and walks and got Michelle her fist bike fitting. Darren at BOCA Hawaii (https://bocahawaii.com/) adjusted her seat and her handlebars to fit to her size and biking style for a more comfortable ride. We also upgraded her shoes and pedals to Shimano SPD-SL, which are better for her cycling style. She had been experiencing hand numbness fairly early along when cycling and now that her bike is properly fitted, is finding cycling more comfortable and enjoyable.

Jay tried out his new ice bath to see if he liked it before spending a lot of money on something with an electric chiller. The jury is still out on this as our 30lbs of ice only got the temp down to about 65 degrees. Will probably need 50-60lbs of ice to get it into the low 50s where I can really test my resolve on doing these ice baths on a more frequent basis.
